Breakthrough in Brain-Based CPtsd Recovery

Nov 3 / Linda Meredith

When Feeling Like a Failure Is Not the Problem

Have you ever felt like a failure so deeply that you wanted to disappear - not to escape the world, but to escape the ache inside you?

That ache is often called shame.

But for many adults with CPtsd, it runs deeper than that.

It’s the residue of abandonment, silence, and a developing brain forced to make sense of harm that should never have happened.

Recovery does not begin with perfection or positivity.
It begins with understanding. With creating pathways back to autonomy and wholeness - not by erasing the past, but by building the capacity to stay present, take in feedback, and remain connected without splitting into dissociation or defence.

This is the work.
Learning to meet what was once unbearable with compassion, clarity, and choice.

🌸 What’s New for You

1️⃣ Sexual Abuse Recovery - Course 1 Slides Are Up and Live

The slides for Course 1: The Hidden Impact - Understanding CSA Through the Brain, Body & Betrayal are now available inside your account. They explore betrayal trauma’s impact on brain development, identity, and safety - and include client-forward handouts written in accessible, compassionate language.

2️⃣ New Questionnaires for Sexual Abuse Recovery

You can now access a new set of questionnaires designed to support both you and your clients:
✨ A personal reflection form for your own insight
🧩 A practitioner form that includes a vital question on if you might use a miniature sexual abuse recovery slide deck to help clients i.e. to create your own educational video or YouTube resource. Your answers will determine if it is included in this Elective. If you could use it, jump on and answer the short questions.
All responses are anonymous if you choose, and there’s no need to answer every question. Each form is quick, meaningful, and provides valuable data for building effective sexual abuse and CPtsd recovery practices.

🔗 You’ll find both forms (and all others) here:

3️⃣ “Have Your Slides Read to You” - Now Live!

If you process information better by listening, the new “Have Your Slides Read Out Loud” feature is live inside the Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Unit, with other courses to follow soon. It’s a gentle, brain-based accessibility option for anyone who finds audio learning safer and easier to absorb under stress.

4️⃣ Supervision & Study Space - Returning Weekly Next Year

Weekly supervision will resume early next year, and you’re warmly invited to join.
You’re welcome to:
💬 Ask questions
📚 Study and reflect
🌱 Sit in community

Inside your account, you’ll find the new Supervision Module, which outlines how supervision now integrates:
  • CPtsd & NeuroSynqt education
  • Reflective and personal developmen
  • tPractical, relational support for professionals

5️⃣ World-First: Brain-Based Trauma Mapping for Narcissistic Abuse

This is a global first - a neuroscience-led mapping system for practitioners working in narcissistic abuse recovery. It’s now available to practitioners and will soon include a client questionnaire that identifies which brain areas have been impacted, along with specific recovery strategies for each one.

Thank you for walking this journey with me - for showing up, learning, and contributing to a movement that’s transforming CPtsd recovery from survival into integration.

Are you Looking to Take the Next Step?

Living with CPtsd?
What if recovery meant no longer remaining in survival mode?

I spent years chasing answers to a constant felt sense that something was “wrong” with me. On the outside I appeared functional - wife, mum, business owner. Inside, I was cycling through crippling anxiety and depression with no clear pattern.

Each time I sought help, I was told, variations of “You’re doing better than 98% of my clients - you’ll be fine.” The truth? Most clinicians/practitioners weren’t trained in complex/developmental trauma, making it impossible for them to see how CPtsd was impacting my life and eroding my capacity.

The basics I needed weren’t happening - and my health challenges increased every year.
