Healing from Complex Ptsd
International Complex Trauma Association

Trauma-trained, neuroscience based recovery for developmental (childhood) trauma.

Grounded, brain first education for individuals and mental health practitioners working with Complex Ptsd

Welcome to CPtsd Education

Not just regulated - reconnected.
Not just surviving - integrated.

CPtsd Education offers a trauma-trained, brain-first pathway for Complex Ptsd recovery.

This work supports people whose brains adapted for survival early in life and now require reconnection, internal structure, and integration - not symptom management or insight alone.

Recovery here is experiential, paced and developmentally respectful.

We work with the brain as it is, not as it was expected to be.

Reconnect what trauma disrupted.
Build internal structure so safety, identity and coherence can emerge.
Where experiential healing meets brain first recovery.

Why Reconnection and Integration Matter

Adults who experienced developmental trauma often grew up without the internal structure required for sustained safety, identity, and relational capacity. CPtsd reflects a brain that adapted to survive in the absence of safety. These adaptations are not failures - they are intelligent responses to early threat.

Recovery requires more than coping or understanding.

It requires building internal structure that increases capacity, widens access, and makes integration possible in the present.

This work focuses on restoring what development could not complete - safely, gradually, and without overwhelm.

1 in 3 adults experienced significant childhood adversity.
High ACE scores are linked to chronic illness, mental health conditions, addiction, and relational strain.

Conventional “talk therapy” often misses the brain-body stuck in survival patterns -leaving clients trapped in repetitive symptom management for years.

When trauma goes unrecognised or untreated, it silently fuels lifelong struggles with mental health, relationships, physical illness, and self-worth. Professionals need more than surface-level strategies — they need trauma-trained, brain-based education that gets to the root.

When developmental trauma goes unrecognised, the brain continues to organise around survival long after danger has passed.
Professionals need more than surface level strategies - they need trauma trained, brain first education that addresses the core and builds connections.

CPtsd includes emotional flooding, dissociation, identity disruption, somatic symptoms, and restricted access across brain systems.

According to the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study, individuals with high ACE scores are significantly more likely to experience chronic health conditions, addiction, mental illness, and early death. In fact, having four or more ACEs increases the risk of depression by 460%.

In the U.S. alone, over 700,000 children are reported as victims of abuse and neglect annually. These early relational wounds leave long-lasting imprints on the developing brain, shaping identity, safety, and the ability to connect.

Why CPtsd recovery requires brain-first approaches

For practitioners and professionals, here’s what matters.

✅ Why Brain First Matters

You cannot regulate what the brain cannot access.
CPtsd reflects restricted integration across brain systems, not a lack of insight, motivation or resilience.

We train you to work with the brain’s protective pathways, not just client insight.

It’s often taught that clients know what they need to heal. But with CPtsd, that’s rarely true. When trauma was our normal, we had no language or education for what we were experiencing. Many of us sat in therapy for decades exploring emotions with no change in our lives.

✅ For Psychologists, Coaches

Traditional tools focus on insight. NeuroSynqt™ teaches reconnection and integration - where real change begins.

✅ Brain First, Experiential Focus

NeuroSynqt™ is grounded in developmental trauma science, neuroplasticity, relational safety, and experiential integration.

Learning is designed to build internal structure before expecting regulation, processing or behavioural change.

✅ The NeuroSynqt™ Difference

Most trauma approaches focus on top-down (thinking) or bottom-up (feeling). But when CPtsd is present, neither alone is enough.

NeuroSynqt™ uses a side-door approach - building access, structure and identity so regulation and processing can emerge naturally.

✅ Trauma Impacted Brains Need More

Many clients appear “stuck” because their brains are still organised for survival.
Integration first work supports capacity before exposure and safety before depth.

✅ Stop the Stagnation

This work supports lasting change by restoring choice, presence, and coherence rather than managing symptoms indefinitely.

✅ Core Training Missing

Around the world, therapists aren't taught how to recognise or treat developmental trauma during their standard training. Developmental trauma and CPtsd remain under taught in standard professional education, despite being central to adult clinical presentations.
"Every form of self regulation we've been able to look at -
  • regulating attention
  • regulating emotional affect
  • regulating mood
  • regulating thought
  • regulating physiology
  • regulating relationships
  • regulating behaviour
all those terms come under the broad term "Self Regulation"
Every aspect of regulation we could explore depends on integration of the brain"
Dr Dan Siegel

Every aspect of regulation depends on integration of the brain.

Trauma Informed or Trauma Trained?

Why the Difference is Vital for Effective Complex Ptsd Recovery

Meet Our Founder

CPtsd Education exists to meet a gap that traditional education continues to miss: trauma-trained, brain first education for developmental trauma and Complex Ptsd.

While much professional training still focuses on insight, symptom management, or regulation alone, developmental trauma requires something different. It requires understanding how the brain adapted for survival early in life and how structure, capacity, identity and integration are built when they were never reliably formed.

I’m Linda Meredith, founder of CPtsd Education and creator of the NeuroSynqt™ framework.

After decades of searching for an approach that supported genuine recovery for the brain impacted by Complex Ptsd - and finding none that addressed developmental injury directly - I developed NeuroSynqt™ to meet that need.

NeuroSynqt™ is a trauma trained, neuroscience led framework designed to work with the brain’s protective adaptations rather than against them. It focuses on building internal structure, increasing capacity, restoring access, and supporting integration in the correct developmental sequence.

Every course, resource, and certification within CPtsd Education is grounded in this framework. The work is experiential, paced and designed to translate into real world capacity, not just understanding.

This is not self-help.

This is professional, trauma trained education for the world people with Complex Ptsd actually live in.

Why Trauma Trained Matters

Most professionals are taught to be trauma informed.
When it comes to Complex Ptsd, that isn’t enough.

Being trauma trained means:

  • Understanding how developmental trauma reshapes the brain

  • Working effectively with dissociation, identity disruption and intergenerational patterns

  • Using structured, experiential tools that reconnect the brain to self, safely and progressively.

At CPtsd Education, we equip practitioners and individuals with education that goes beyond awareness. Our resources are trauma-trained, brain-first, and designed to build real capacity in daily life.

All programs are online, self-paced, and globally accessible.

"Linda Meredith is a powerhouse when it comes to bringing research and information together to help us understand complex trauma. More importantly, she breaks things down in a way that is easily accessible with a program that is uber flexible.  The homework isn't about regurgitating information or memorizing terminology, but rather how we can embody the knowledge while healing from complex trauma ourselves.  An incredibly generous professional Linda prolifically creates beautiful templates, workbooks, and packettes of information to make it easier for coaches to run their business. I feel as though I have Linda 24/7 in my back pocket supporting me to do what I need to do for my clients. Linda Meredith is a gift to the world and this one-of-a-kind complex trauma certificate program is exactly what I need at this point in my life. Thanks Linda for what you do!"

I had been in and out of therapy for over 20 years. As a psychologist myself, I was perplexed on why I was going consistently to therapy but not feeling any progress.
Thank God I found Linda! Linda has helped me experience growth that for me was unimaginable. Her knowledge of trauma and trauma recovery is amazing! In a loving and compassionate manner, she has taught me helpful tools and strategies to manage my trauma symptoms.

Linda always respects my point of view and beliefs without judgement. Most importantly, Linda made me feel heard, seen understood and cared for. Further, her sessions are a good value for the money. The time I've spent working with Linda have been the most valuable of my life. Not only did we form a trusting, patient relationship, she has helped and continues to help me slowly understand what had happened to me. I now feel equipped to do things differently. It's been the most liberating and empowering experience and I've learned things that will stay with me forever. Thank you Linda!
